Sculpture in Stone

I began as a sculptor of stone first. I have completed pieces in limestone, alabaster and soapstone. Each type of stone has its own unique characteristics and has its own challenges. Although working in stone is considerably slower than most other forms of sculpture, it does involve a high degree of excitement. Stone sculpture is a subtractive art and with every tap of the hammer you push the limits of your stone, your tools and your abilities.
