Fallen Angel

This was a real challenge .It was sculpted from a cypress knee and the face is about the size of my thumbnail. The clients parents had brought this piece of wood back from Florida when she was small and it meant very much to her . She specifically wanted an angel holding her wing . Just another example of starting with a concept and being free to let the medium help develope the final form. I always have fun with this method of creating.
